Call or stop by the Union Hall to sign up as a player, and be sure to let us know your skill level (beginner, advanced, intermediate) Join us for a fun day of games including Ping Pong and Dominoes at the Local 689 Union Hall.

LOCAL 689 SUPPORTS OCCUPY DC
On October 6, Local 689 Officers attended the Occupy DC rally held at Freedom Plaza in Washington, DC. This protest is an offshoot of the Occupy Wall Street rally which began in New York on September 17th. Protestors oppose the fact that 1% of Americans earn 25% of the income in this country; protestors refer to themselves as the other 99%. The rally on Thursday was a part of the "Human Needs, not Corporate Greed" protest which marked the 10th anniversary of the start of the war in Afghanistan and protests the use of taxpayer money to fund the war. --- Metro Washington Council reports: Occupy DC~ March to NLRB and Meet-up with SEIU in Farragut Square Wednesday, Oct 12 (3pm-6pm) For more details click here.
