Red Alert: Reinstate Circulator Operator Flynn "Tiny" Burke

After their outstanding victory to win for wage parity and safer buses earlier this year, DC Circulator workers are under attack from a vengeful First Transit. They fired Flynn “Tiny” Burke – a shop steward and the face of the Circulator campaign – late last week.

Today, the general manager said,  “I will use every dime this company has to make sure Tiny doesn’t get his job back.” A reminder: the money First Transit has at the Circulator is DC taxpayer money.

We are demanding that Circulator end its crackdowns in the garage and put Tiny back to work immediately. Please sign the petition, which gives more background here, and spread the word: https://actionnetwork.org/petitions/first-transit-reinstate-flynn-tiny-burke-who-was-unjustly-terminated

Hi, ummm, I think we need more info about the issue before we advocate a position, like maybe the reason the company lists for the person's firing, some background facts would be helpful. There's zero fact presented other than "bad company fires worker for sole reason of attempting to organize." Well, that might be the case, but I'm certain the company has a different point of view and we should at the very least know what that is before we agree to do something. Frankly, this comes off as very ignorantly heavy handed and I find it insulting that the Union acts in such a manner.
